Sight for Salvadorans

Two members of the Avon Lions Club, Dr. Jennifer McNamara and Dr. John Novak, traveled to El Salvador for a vision project in early February.  They were part of a 60 person volunteer team organized by Eye Care International.  Volunteers ranged in age from 15 to 82 years, and came from all over the US and Canada.

Holiday Mail for Heroes

The Avon Lions are sponsoring a Holiday project to reach out to our active military and veterans over the upcoming Christmas Holiday. We are working with the Red Cross to gather Christmas cards for our soldiers both home and overseas to make Christmas a little less lonely.
