On Friday night, September 2nd, the Avon Eagles and Avon Lake Shoremen will take the field for their annual rivalry football game, also know as the battle for the Silver Rail trophy. As has also become a tradition, Community Resource Services will be at the game collecting contributions for the local food pantry. Click for more information.
The Avon Lions will assist CRS in collecting canned food and monetary donations from fans of both towns. The Lions will also present a $1000 donation check to CRS at half-time.
At the conclusion of the contest, representatives from the Avon Lions Club will present the Silver Rail trophy to the winning team.
