santaOur club is once again proud to assist with traffic control and general coordination for The Annual French Creek Santa Stroll and Tree Lighting.

We will gather at the Olde Avon Village (36840 Detroit Road) at 4:30pm.  Then at 5:00 p.m., Santa leads the way in his amazing horse drawn sleigh to the French Creek Gazebo (corner of Stoney Ridge Road & Detroit Road).  There will be carol singing along the way.

Watch as Santa lights the Christmas Tree, and then follow him to Avon Isle where kids can meet with Santa and enjoy refreshments.  Lions members will help the crowd get lined up to see Santa, and we will give oranges to the children as has become our annual Christmas tradition.

This is also a great time for visitors to explore the beautifully restored Avon Isle, a treasured Avon landmark since 1926, and enjoy elaborate model train exhibits.  The “Rail Blazers” model train club will be on display from 2 to 7 p.m. on Saturday at Avon Isle.
