santaOur club is once again assisting with crowd control and general coordination for The Annual French Creek Santa Stroll and Candle Lite Walk with lighting of the town tree.

Plan to gather at the Olde Avon Village (36840 Detroit Road) at 4:30pm.  Then at 5:00 p.m.,  the parade will begin behind the old police station and continue to the French Creek Gazebo (corner of Stoney Ridge Road & Detroit Road).

Watch as Santa lights the Christmas Tree, and then follow him to Avon Isle where kids can meet with Santa and enjoy refreshments.  Lions members will help the crowd get lined up to see Santa, and we will give oranges to the children as has become our annual Christmas tradition.

This is also a great time for visitors to explore the beautifully restored Avon Isle, a treasured Avon landmark since 1926.

As the event nears, more information on the entire weekend will be available at this link:  http://www.frenchcreekdistrict.com/
