The Avon Lions will be participating in the 10th Annual Avon Heritage Duct Tape Festival Parade on Saturday, June 15 at 10:00 am. The start location will be at the Avon High School. Lion Paul Johnson has registered the club and our parade entry number is: 20.
Avon Lions will walk the parade route and distribute candy. We hope to include the Lion Mascot (volunteer needed) & we will also drive the truck and/or the Mustang.
Lions planning to attend should contact Paul Johnson to coordinate. Please remember parking is limited and there is NO GENERAL PUBLIC PARKING at The Avon High School (starting point). We have made a special arrangement with Lion Alex Boccabella to park in the side lot of Taylor Rental. The club will provide transportation at the end of the parade route to shuttle us back to Taylor Rental & our cars.
The check-in time is typically 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Lion Paul will check us in during that time, and everyone else should plan to be there no later that 9:30. The parade starts at 10:00 am, but Detroit Road will be closed down PROMPTLY at 9:45 am. There is a lot of traffic, so please plan to be there earlier than later.
