ClamBake2The Annual Avon Lions Club Clambake will be on Friday, October 11, 2013, at Tom’s Country Place.  Festivities start at 6:30pm.  Tickets are $30 each.  For that you get a steak or bake (chicken and clam) dinner with sides and salad, soft drinks and a dessert. You can buy extra clams for $10. There will be a cash bar with beer and wine. There will be raffles for baskets and other items, 50/50s, side boards, etc.

It really is a great time for a great cause. The Lions’ mission is to help those who are less fortunate with hearing and vision impairments, but we are much more than that. We volunteer at Second Harvest, help feed the less fortunate at Thanksgiving and Christmas, volunteer at the Avon Candlelight Walk, host the Fishing Derby at Northgate Park every year for the kids and much more.

Nearly 350 people attended last year, and we hope to beat that number this year.  Your attendance will help a great organization right here in Avon and Lorain County.  All net proceeds will go to charity.  Tickets are available at Tom’s Country Place (440-934-4553) during normal business hours, or from Todd Haemmerle at 216-374-8615, or email: thaemmerle@gallaghersharp.com.
